Stratford Police inviting homeowners and businesses to join their SCRAM Program

Stratford Police are encouraging homeowners to register in their new surveillance camera program.

SPS says the Security Camera Registry and Mapping program, nicknamed SCRAM, is a community-based crime prevention opportunity that enlists the help of residents and businesses in Stratford, St.Marys, and Perth South.

It allows community members to volunteer their residential or business video surveillance location which will then be mapped in a police database and used in investigations.

Police say there have been 15 new cameras registered in the past week and are hoping to keep the numbers growing.
