UPDATE: Plane crash kills one person near Stratford; Line 43 reopened

UPDATE: 9:26 P.M. Tuesday

Perth County OPP says Perth Line 43, between Road 109 and Road 110, has now reopened.

Police have not provided any further updates on their investigation.

A Transportation Safety Board spokesperson tells the MyStratfordNow.com Newsroom that it is too early in their investigation to make any comments.

One person is dead after a small plane crash northeast of Stratford.

Perth County OPP says the crash happened Tuesday morning near the Stratford Airport.

The victim’s name won’t be released until their family is notified.

Perth Line 43 is currently closed between Road 109 and Road 110 while investigators are on scene. Drivers are being asked to avoid the area.

Transport Canada has been notified and will assist with the investigation.

According to the police, more details will be released at a later time.
