Free financial workshops being offered at the Stratford Public Library

Inflation, interest rates, and financial concerns are adding up to be a perfect storm for people that don’t have financial literacy skills.

That’s according to Alison Howard, the Executive Director of ABC Life Literacy Canada, who says November is Financial Literacy Month.

To help Stratford residents better understand and get a grasp on their financial concerns, Howard is offering a series of free workshops through the Stratford Public Library over the next few weeks.

Research shows, Howard says, that half of Canadians don’t have a budget and four in ten say money is a daily concern for them.

She adds the issues people are dealing with depend on what stage of life they are in.

Howard says the workshops are programmed to help adult learners understand the basics of money management a little better and help raise their confidence levels.

You can go to the library’s website to learn more about the workshops.
