Perth County OPP searching for woman after incident near Mitchell school

Perth County OPP is searching for one person after an incident in Mitchell.

Just before 9 o’clock Wednesday morning, police say an 11-year-old student from Upper Thames Elementary School was walking along Wellington Street when they were confronted by a female driving a red vehicle.

Police say the woman asked the youth to get in the vehicle so they could drive them to school and when the youth said no, the female drove away.

The woman is described as white, approximately 40-50 years of age, with short white hair and she was wearing a black puffy jacket.

An investigation into what happened continues and you’re asked to call the police or Crime Stoppers if you have any information on what happened.
