Police arrest suspect in Stratford shooting in London

The suspect in a Tuesday night targeted shooting in Stratford has been arrested.

A spokesperson for the Stratford Police Service tells MyStratfordNow.com he was arrested in London without incident earlier Thursday night. He is facing a charge of attempted murder with a firearm.

He is being held in custody for a bail hearing in Stratford on Friday.

The shooting happened on Tuesday night on Stratford Street. Police responded to the scene around 7:30 pm.

Police identified the suspect in the shooting as 38-year-old William Vincent of Milverton after a white Chevrolet Monte Carlo was discovered in Hamilton on Wednesday.  That vehicle was believed to be the one used in the Tuesday night shooting.

The victim was treated for minor injuries.
