Clinton Public Hospital will be closing its Emergency Department early Thursday afternoon.
While a reason for the closure wasn’t provided by Huron Perth Public Health officials, the doors will close at 5 p.m.
Regular reduced hours of operation for the department, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., will resume on Friday.
Anyone requiring immediate medical attention should call 9-1-1.
Paramedics will remain available to the community.
They will re-route to the nearest available emergency department to ensure local residents continue to have access to the emergency services they need.
