Pellet gun leads to charges

A pellet gun caused quite a disturbance at a New Year’s Eve party in Atwood.

The Perth County OPP was called out to a Monument road residence on Wednesday morning shortly before 2:00am.

Officers determined that an 18-year-old male had pointed a pellet gun during an altercation.

He was disarmed by some of the people at the gathering.

While being disarmed, the North Perth man sustained injuries and was taken to hospital.

The male with the pellet gun has been charged with “assault with a weapon”.

He’ll appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Listowel on February 12th to answer to this charge.
