The winter blizzard that swept across Perth County over the holidays was the worst on record since 1999.
That’s according to staff with the Municipality of North Perth who has worked together to create a timeline of events and statistics about the storm that began on December 23rd.
Perth County Paramedics received 42 calls during the first 24 hours of the storm, between 10 a.m. on December 23rd and 10 a.m. December 24th
Perth County declared a Significant Weather Event on December 23rd and all roads in the county were closed on the morning of December 24th.
Major roads opened up for essential travel only on December 26th with the weather event declared over on December 28th.
