Free day of events taking place at Wildwood Conservation Area on Saturday

Celebrating natural connections.

That’s the theme of a free day of events taking place at Wildwood Conservation Area in St.Marys on Saturday.

It runs from 10 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. and Upper Thames River Conservation Authority (UTRCA) staff say it’s aimed at getting people outside and celebrating the natural spaces that were found to be important during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Among the events taking place is Indigenous education, lessons on birds, and a guided hike and everything will take place no matter what the weather is like that day.

Emily Chandler with the UTRCA says the event is an opportunity to reach out to younger people and teach them about why nature is important.
