UPDATE: Seaforth Hospital Emergency Department to close Saturday night

UPDATE 8:00 pm Saturday, January 28th:

The Emergency Department at Seaforth Community Hospital is closing Saturday night at 9 pm.

On Sunday it will open at 7 am and close at 5 pm and will reopen on Monday at 7 am and resume regular hours of operation.

The Emergency Department at the Seaforth Community Hospital will close early on Sunday.

Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance officials say it is because of sudden health human resource shortages.

The department will close at 5 pm Sunday and will reopen and will reopen at 7 am Monday and resume regular hours.

Anyone requiring immediate medical attention should call 9-1-1. Paramedics will remain available to the community and will re-route to the nearest available Emergency Department to ensure local residents continue to have access to the emergency services they need.
