Two people charged in altercation with Stratford Police to be back in court next month

The two suspects arrested in an altercation that left a Stratford Police officer with injuries will remain in jail.

Both 27-year-old Joseph Cluett and 30-year-old Kayla Field appeared briefly and virtually in court Tuesday morning and were remanded into custody.

Cluett will be back in court on February 7th while Field will return on Thursday.

Stratford Police say the incident began on January 24th when they were investigating a stolen vehicle complaint at a gas bar on Ontario Street.

It ultimately led to one officer being dragged and nearly run over with the pair eventually arrested on January 25th near Dublin.
