The Emergency Department at the Seaforth Hospital will have shortened hours again this week. Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance says it is because of an unforeseen sudden shortage of staff.
Beginning Wednesday the department will be open from 7 am to 5 pm until Sunday, meaning it will not be available after 5 pm.
It will reopen on Monday, February 6th at 7 am and regular 24-hour operations will begin again.
Anyone requiring immediate medical attention should call 9-1-1. Paramedics will remain available to the community and will re-route to the nearest available Emergency Department to ensure local residents continue to have access to the emergency services they need.
