One of two people charged in altercation with Stratford police officer released from jail

One of two people arrested in an altercation that left a Stratford Police officer injured has been released from jail.

On Thursday afternoon, 30-year-old Kayla Field was granted a consent release with several conditions.

They include that she not be in contact with 27-year-old Joseph Cluett, also arrested in the incident, and that she live with a surety as well as not operate a motor vehicle.

Field will appear in court virtually next on March 13th.

Stratford Police say the incident began on January 24th when they were investigating a stolen vehicle complaint at a gas bar on Ontario Street.

It ultimately led to one officer being dragged and nearly run over with the pair eventually arrested on January 25th near Dublin.

Cluett remains behind bars with his next court appearance scheduled for Tuesday.
