Snow squall warning in effect for:

  • Goderich – Bluewater – Southern Huron County
  • Stratford – Mitchell – Southern Perth County
  • Wingham – Blyth – Northern Huron County

Snow squalls are occurring. Under the snow squall bands, visibilities will be significantly reduced due to the heavy snow combined with blowing snow, and snow will quickly accumulate.

Hazards:
Significantly reduced visibility in heavy snow and blowing snow.
Local snowfall accumulations of 15 to 25 cm.

Timing:
Through Friday evening.

Discussion:
Snow squalls off Lake Huron will continue to affect portions of the region through Friday evening. Heavy snow combined with northwesterly winds gusting 50 to 60 km/h could produce near-zero visibility at times. Conditions are expected to improve this evening as snowfall intensity and winds gradually diminish.
