Man arrested in altercation with Stratford Police to be back in court on Friday

A 27-year-old man arrested after an altercation that left a Stratford Police officer with injuries will remain behind bars for at least a few more days.

Joseph Cluett appeared virtually in a Stratford courtroom Tuesday morning.

His lawyer, Amy Robern, told a judge that she needs to receive disclosure.

She asked for the case to return on Friday morning to discuss a bail plan.

Stratford Police say the incident began on January 24th when they were investigating a stolen vehicle complaint at a gas bar on Ontario Street.

It ultimately led to one officer being dragged and nearly run over with the pair eventually arrested on January 25th near Dublin.

Thirty-year-old Kayla Field was also arrested and has been released on bail with her case returning to court on March 13th.
