A charge against a Windsor pastor for speaking at a anti-COVID-19 policy protest in Stratford has been dropped.
In a media release, the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms says the charge against Pastor Aaron Rock was withdrawn in exchange for a modest charitable donation.
The ruling was part of a diversion agreement.Â
There was no admission of guilt by Rock for the protest in April, 2021.
He had been charged under the Re-opening Ontario Act with the size of gatherings limited by the province at the time in an effort to reduce the spread of the virus.
