A victim in North Perth has lost $2,000 in a scam.
Perth County OPP says they were contacted by the victim just before 9 p.m. on February 20th.
The resident said they received a pop up for a virus protection on their computer saying that the computer was infected and to contact the number provided to have the issue fixed.
The victim granted the suspect remote access to their computer where their personal information was compromised.
The victim also sent an e-transfer of $2000.
Police continue to investigate the case.
