Stratford and District Chamber of Commerce announces 2023 Business Leader Award recipient

The Stratford and District Chamber of Commerce has selected its 2023 Business Leader Award recipient.

Don McDougall will be presented the award and will be the guest speaker at the 27th annual Business Excellence Awards gala being held on May 4th.

McDougall is known across Canada for being the youngest President of Labatt’s Brewing in London, and he also helped bring the Toronto Blue Jays into existence in 1977, as well as having served as chancellor of the University of Prince Edward Island.

Locally, he bought, built, and grew Novatronics, which ultimately had ties to the Canadarm,  and was instrumental in helping to bring the University of Waterloo to Stratford as well as other accomplishments.

The award recipient is decided on by the Chamber Board of Directors and is a three-step secret ballot process.
