Funeral procession to be held Sunday for World War II veteran

Stratford is preparing to say goodbye to a local war hero.
The funeral procession with a military escort for Second World War veteran Art Boon will take place on Sunday.
Boon passed away on March 12th at the age of 98.

Waterloo Street will be temporarily closed from Ontario Street to Albert Street from 1 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.

Drivers are encouraged to be patient and respectful as the funeral procession makes its way from the Stratford Armoury, where Mr. Boon will lie in state Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., to the Rotary Complex.
A public funeral service will be held at the complex from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
