Work continues to expand the green bin program in Stratford.
In 2022, city officials say a total of 991 metric tonnes of organic waste was collected as part of the curbside program.
They say that diverted waste is roughly equal to the carbon dioxide emissions from 41.7 passenger vehicles in a year.
Commercial, institutional and multi-residential buildings are now included under the program and those interested in taking part can contact the city.
