Stratford City Council approves 2023 budget

The finishing touches have been put on the 2023 budget in Stratford.

At their regular meeting on Monday night, Stratford City Council approved a budget with a tax levy increase of 6.97 per cent.

For residential property owners, the tax rate works out to 4.6 per cent.

That means for a home with an assessed value of $350,000, homeowners will pay roughly an additional $230.90 over last year.

Cody Sebben was the lone councilor to vote against passing the budget.
