Stratford Police investigate Easter Monday stabbing, victim in stable condition

A 27-year-old Stratford man is facing several charges including aggravated assault in a stabbing in the city.

On Monday, Stratford Police responded to a 911 hang up call from a home on McNab Street.

When they arrived, they found a 58-year-old resident on the porch with several stab wounds.  He was taken to Stratford General Hospital and later airlifted to London Health Sciences where he remains in stable condition.

The suspect was also found outside the home and was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault, Assault with a Weapon, and Weapons Dangerous.

The accused had a bail hearing Tuesday. The investigation continues.
