Ontario providing $3 million for Stratford road project

Provincial funding to the tune of $3 million will be used to tackle a road project in Stratford.
Perth-Wellington MPP Matthew Rae says the money is part of Ontario’s Connecting Links program and it will go towards the resurfacing of Erie and Ontario Street.
Rae says the funding is great news for our area with roads and bridges vital in rural communities.
“This is an essential program for small and rural municipalities in Ontario,” Rae added. “In 2023-24, our government will spend $3.2 billion towards projects that will expand and repair provincial highways and bridges.”
The Connecting Links program provides funding for up to 90 per cent of eligible project costs.
