School buses will soon no longer run in our area on foggy mornings.
Huron Perth Transportation Services says the buses in the region will run in the afternoon as scheduled, depending on the weather.
Factors including certainty for parents on if the buses are operating and consistency in the school day schedule were pegged as two reasons behind the decision.
The move takes effect on June 1st.
In the past, a 2-hour delay was put in place at all Avon Maitland District School Board and Huron Perth Catholic District School Board schools when it was foggy.
