Stratford road one of the worst in Western Ontario according to the Canadian Automobile Association

A Stratford road ranks among one of the worst in our region.

The Canadian Automobile Association has released its worst roads for 2023 and has broken them down among regions.

In Western Ontario, John Street North in Stratford comes in at number two while John Street South is fifth.

Late last month, the City of Stratford issued a call for bids on asphalt rehabilitation at two separate locations including John Street between Huron Street and West Gore Street.

It is anticipated that council will award the tender in mid-June, with the work scheduled for July and August.

The list of worst roads is compiled by counting votes from residents across the province on what roads they feel need to be repaired the most.

A road in Hamilton came in as the worst in Ontario.
