Residents in our region strongly oppose the privatization of local hospitals.
The Ontario Health Coalition held a referendum across the province last Friday and Saturday asking whether or not Ontarians want local public hospital services to be privatized to for-profit hospitals and clinics.
In Stratford, 1,032 people cast ballots, according to the coalition, with all but one against the move.
Province-wide results will be announced outside Queen’s Park on Wednesday.
