Tour for Humanity making stop in Stratford on Thursday

Local high school students are learning first-hand about the Holocaust and human rights.

The Tour for Humanity, a 30-seat, wheelchair-accessible, state-of-the-art, technologically advanced mobile human rights education centre, is coming to Stratford Intermediate School on Thursday.

Tour organizers say they want to inspire and empower people of all ages and backgrounds to raise their voices and take action against hate, intolerance, and bullying and to promote justice, human rights, and a more inclusive society.

Avon Maitland District School Board teachers and other staff will also participate in a one-day Holocaust education workshop.

The tour has visited more than 950 schools in Ontario and other provinces since its launch in 2013.
