Huron Perth Public Health offering free masks to residents at high risk for breathing issues

Huron Perth Public Health is offering free N95 respirators to residents at high risk for breathing issues because of the smoke from wildfires.

People at high risk include those with lung disease or heart disease, older adults, children, pregnant people, and people who work outdoors.

Two masks can be picked up from HPPH while supplies last at either their Stratford or Clinton sites.

Many regions, including Huron Perth, recently experienced several days with poor air quality because of wildfire smoke coming from northeastern Ontario and Quebec.

While the situation has improved locally, officials say it could worsen again.
