Stratford Police looking for victims of theft

A search warrant in Stratford has turned up more than 550 items of stolen property.

In late June, the Stratford Police Service searched a home on Brittania Street. The stolen property includes personal mail, credit cards, drivers’ licences, membership cards, social insurance cards, and passports, as well as nine rounds of .223 ammunition and a small amount of meth.  The stolen property has been linked to 269 different victims but police have only been able to contact 21 victims.

Attempts are being made to speak with each victim, but police do not have contact information for many of the victims and have been unable to locate them.

The Stratford Police Service is asking for members of the community to contact them if any of the above-mentioned items were stolen, or went missing, between 2020 to June 2023.

To file a report regarding this matter please contact Constable Cody Millian at 519-271-4141 extension 8119.
