The Emergency Department at the Seaforth Community Hospital is closing early because of a staff shortage.
The department will close at 5 p.m. Tuesday and won’t reopen until 7 o’clock Wednesday morning when regular hours will resume.
Anyone requiring immediate medical attention should call 9-1-1 and paramedics will remain available to the community and re-route to the nearest available Emergency Department.
The closest 24-hour Emergency Departments to the Seaforth Community Hospital are in Exeter, Goderich, and Stratford.
