Update: Highway 7/8 reopens in Shakespeare after head on collision

Perth County OPP says Highway 7/8 has reopened in Shakespeare.

The investigation into the collision continues.

Highway 7/8 is closed in Shakespeare after a head on collision.

First responders were called out to the crash just after 8 o’clock Saturday night with one driver transported to an out-of-town hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Another passenger was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The highway is closed between Road 108 and Road 109 and it isn’t expected to reopen for several hours.

Investigators are currently at the scene.
