Organizers celebrating 182nd Stratford Fall Fair

Great weather is believed to have brought record crowds out to the 182nd Stratford Fall Fair.

While it’s too early to know exactly how many people came out to the fair this past weekend, Fair Chair and Stratford Mayor Martin Ritsma says he can’t remember a weekend it was held in the last 29 years where there was little to no rain.

He says last year’s fair saw record attendance at its midway and he’s heard that this year’s was even better.

Ritsma says the fair brings out everyone in the community because of its wide range of events.

“I think of two words, community, and inclusion, with free admission and such varied activities.”

Ritsma says the volunteer group at the fair is instrumental in its success.
