Over $272,000 in provincial funding is on the way for our region through the Rural Economic Development program.
Officials say the RED program supports projects that diversify rural economies, retain skilled workers, and create jobs in local communities.
The Municipality of North Perth is getting close to $137,000 for its Agriculture Excellence Action Plan while Perth County will receive $50,000 for its Workforce, Attraction and Retention Employer Toolkit.
The money is provided by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.
