Saying thank you to the men and women who served our country on the battlefield.
That’s what’s behind the Remembrance Day poppy campaign that starts Friday and continues until November, 11th.
The Stratford Legion will be distributing poppy boxes to businesses and schools across the city and there will also be a setup at the Stratford Mall.
Dale Bast with the Stratford Legion says it means the world to veterans to be recognized.
“They love to see the crowds and hear the applause for what they did in the military so many years ago, so say thank you to the veterans in uniform this coming week, thank you for your service.”
You can contact the legion to get a poppy box set up at your business.
