CJCS Kiwanis Christmas Basket Fund Radiothon set for Friday

It’s an annual part of the Christmas season that helps those less fortunate in our community.

The CJCS Kiwanis Christmas Basket Fund Radiothon is Friday and runs from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Dave Evans with the Kiwanis Club of Stratford says they are hoping to raise $65,000 this year which will go towards purchasing gift cards to make sure over 1,000 families have food on the table this holiday season.

Evans says the campaign currently sits about a third of the way to where it should be at this point.

“This is like an institution, it’s been going for 47, 48 years now so we want to keep that going.”

You can call 519-271-2450 during the radiothon to make your donation; you can also drop off cash or a cheque to the radio station at 376 Romeo Street South.

There’s also a Go Fund Me account you can donate to, you can click here to go to it.
