Teen dead in crash involving horse and buggy and passenger vehicle near Listowel

A 13-year-old child is dead after a horse and buggy collided with a passenger vehicle.  It happened on Line 71 near Listowel on Monday afternoon just after 4:00.

Perth County OPP says two people in the buggy were taken to hospital with serious injuries, the teen was pronounced dead at hospital.  The second person, an eight-year-old, was taken to a trauma centre. The driver of the passenger vehicle was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.  The horse also died.

The investigation continues and anyone with information is asked to call police.
