Warmer temperatures means local area could see flooding

You’re being urged to be very cautious and stay away from frozen water with the warmer temperatures we’ve been experiencing.
Officials with the Upper Thames River Conservation Authority say you should keep children and pets away from rivers, streams, ponds, and ditches.
The rain and warmer temperatures mean the snow will begin to melt and run into streams and rivers.
Flood control reservoirs, like the one at the Wildwood Conservation Area, will be especially hazardous because of the fluctuating water levels.
It’s expected it will peak late Thursday night in the Stratford area.
