The Ontario Health Coalition is holding public health hearings across the province, including one at the Royal Canadian Legion St. Marys Branch 236 this Saturday (June 8).
The coalition is developing recommendations for the future of hospitals, after more than 1,200 closures of emergency departments and local hospital services over the last year.
Patients, residents, service agencies, patient advocacy groups, municipal leaders, and healthcare professionals can provide their thoughts.
Results will be collected in a report with recommendations on how to protect and improve, especially small and rural, local hospitals.
Saturday’s public health hearing runs from 3 to 4:30 p.m.
