Isabella Mills of St. Michael Catholic Secondary School was a double silver medalist at the provincial track and field championships in London.
The St. Michael athlete finished second in the 300m hurdles in a time of 45.84 seconds after earlier winning silver in the novice girl’s long jump, with a best effort of 5.38m.
Teammate Abigail Van Bakel also won a silver medal, in the novice girl’s javelin with a personal best throw of 38.80m.
In the novice boy’s javelin, Landon Van Bakel, Abigail’s cousin, took the bronze medal with a best effort of 47.79m.
Luke Feltham of Stratford District Secondary School finished in third place in the senior boy’s 3000m in a time of 8:31.91.
A total of eight athletes from St. Michael qualified for the provincial meet, while 16 qualified from Stratford District Secondary School.
Athletes also competed from St. Marys DCVI.
