Wilkinson new board chair amidst shuffle at HPHA

John Wilkinson is the new chair of the board of directors at the Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance.

The Stratford resident, a former member of provincial parliament, says the healthcare alliance is facing a period of significant change but that it is well positioned to continue as a leader locally, provincially and nationally.

Wilkinson has vast experience as a corporate director with a number of companies and organizations.

Prior to his appointment, he was vice-chair of the healthcare alliance, a collective of hospitals in Stratford, St. Marys, Clinton and Seaforth.

Stephen Hearn completed his two-year term of chair in June and will continue as chair of the governance, community relations and system transformation committee.

The healthcare alliance board of directors also welcomes vice-chair Greg Stewart, along with directors Franklin Famme, and Bill Whetstone.

Eight Community members are also joining board committees.
