Stratford Summer Music begins with a weekend of top performers

Thursday marks the opening night of Stratford Summer Music.

Artists Michael Bridge, Yolanda Bruno, and Mark Fewer will kick things off from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Avondale.

The Music Barge, a floating stage, will be on the Avon River, featuring Clark Schaufele playing jazz from noon to 2:30 p.m.

That same evening, award-winning violinist Aline Homzy and Friends will perform at the Revival House from 9 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Homzy’s music is known to reflect her culturally diverse background.

On Saturday The Vesuvius Ensemble, dedicated to traditional Southern Italian music, will perform at the Stratford Perth Museum from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

On Sunday, renowned pianist and Bach specialist Angela Hewitt returns to Stratford after six years. She will perform at the Avondale Theatre from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
