Sluggish home sales continue in Huron and Perth

Homes sales continue to recover but are still lagging behind five and ten year averages.

That’s according to the latest available stats from the Huron Perth Association of Realtors.

163 units were sold in June, down just over 14 per cent from the same month a year ago.

That’s also well below the five year and 10-year averages for the region.

The association notes that 813 units were sold in the first six months of the year, just ten homes less than the same time frame in 2023.

Teresa Ondrejicka, President of the Huron Perth Association of Realtors, says despite the figures, sales activity continues to recover after bottoming out last summer.

The average year-to-date average price of a home sold in the region was just over $617,000 dollars.
