Conners sticking around with another solid round of golf at Paris Olympics

Perth County’s Corey Conners is tied for 14th spot after his second round of golf at the Summer  Olympics.

The Listowel native carded a 2-under 69 on Friday at Le Golf National in Paris.

The Canadian shot a 3-under 68 in the opening round on Thursday.

That puts Conners at five under par at the halfway point of the golf tournament.

Three golfers are tied for the lead at 11 under par.

Conners and Nick Taylor are the two male golfers representing Canada.

Brooke Henderson and Alena Sharp are Canada’s representatives in the women’s field.
