Given Andy Warhol’s legendary artistic career, there was not shortage of material to draw from for a popular exhibit at Gallery Stratford.
Not by Andy Warhol, the current exhibit running until October at the local gallery, shows a little bit of everything from the legendary artist.
Robert Windrum, Interim Director/Curator, tells MyStratfordNow that the father of pop art is famous for a lot of things, including his work with Marilyn Monroe, the legendary actress and model.
Windrum said the opening for the exhibit was “fantastic” it’s been a hit with art lovers.
6:05: “There is kind of a nostalgia quality to it, particularly in the photographs. And there is beauty and emotion and intensity in the fine art. So there is something for everyone.”
Windrum said fans will enjoy the variety, including photographs, paintings and portraits.
