There is still time to write a letter to Santa with Canada Post Santa letter program

With the postal strike now over, there’s still time to send your letters up to the North Pole.

As Canada Post resumed operations on Tuesday, the corporation reminds people to be patient while they “take time to stabilize operations”.

However, with the resumption of services comes the continuation of the Santa letter program where they promise that letters addressed to Old Saint Nick will be handled with special care.

The program has been in place for over 40 years where more than one million letters per year from around the world are sent.

The scanners in the Canada Post plants are set up to locate Santa letters, identified by the HOH OHO postal code that allows the letters to be delivered straight to the big man in red.

The letter must be addressed to Santa and no stamps are required to mail it. Include your return address and mail all letters from one family in the same envelope.

They will be accepting Santa letters to be mailed by Dec. 23.

Canada Post explained that Santa won’t have time to respond to letters received through the mail this year, but reassures that the letters will make it to him by Christmas Eve.
