Rotaract Club of Stratford hosts its first trivia night of the year Wednesday at Jobsite Brewing Co.
Sarah Merkel, a member of the Rotaract Club for almost a decade, explained the premise of the organization and how their events bring people together.
“So, it’s about community service, giving back and volunteering. It’s about friendship.”
The club is well-known for fundraising trivia nights the second Wednesday of the month.
It’s $5 per person, and you can have a team up to four people.
“People have such a great time, this trivia night has been going on for years and we are so excited the amount of people that come to support it, and the money always goes right back into a local charity,” said Merkel.
A guest from the local charity or organization speaks at the event, highlighting the work they do and where money raised goes.
Local charities looking to get involved and be a recipient of trivia night fundraising, can reach out to the club.
Registration for trivia night starts at 6:30 p.m. and pre-registration with Jobsite is required to reserve a table.
