Heath Bogart of the Stratford Warriors scored the winning goal for Team Doyle in their 6-2 win over Team Schlitt in one of two GOJHL Top Prospects Games over the weekend.
Nathanial Rose and Jimmy Sutherland scored a pair of goals each to pace Team Doyle, at Elmira’s Dan Snyder Memorial Arena on Friday (Dec. 27).
Ryder Simpson added a single marker for the winners.
Carter Timmins and Trevor Zanutto scored for Team Schlitt.
Nico Armellin of the St. Marys Lincolns stopped 11 of 13 shots, featuring in just under half of the game.
In the other Top Prospects game on Friday, Cohen Bidgood of the Lincolns scored a goal in Team Rinaldo’s 6-1 win over Team Martin.
Liam Campbell scored a hat trick, with singles contributed by Lucas Kisil and Tate Donald.
Gage Brandon had the lone goal for Team Martin.
The GOJHL regular season gets going again this week after the holiday break.
On Friday, Stratford host London and St. Marys host Komoka.
Both games start at 7:30 p.m.
St. Marys are at Stratford on Saturday, at 7:30 p.m.
Listowel welcome Stratford on Sunday, at 1:30 p.m.
