Snow squalls possible Wednesday for Stratford, parts of Perth County

Hazards: Locally heavy snowfall with additional accumulations of 5 to 10 cm. Reduced visibility at times in heavy snow.

Timing: Today ending tonight.

Discussion: Lake effect snow squalls are expected to continue today and will mainly affect the areas from Mitchell southward. The snow squalls should weaken late tonight.

Additional local snowfall amounts of 5 to 10 cm are expected, with higher amounts possible if snow squalls become stationary over one area. Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations.

Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance.
