Wylie Burkett scored a pair of goals to pace the Listowel Cyclones to a 4-1 win over the KW Siskins in the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League on Sunday.
Chris O’Flaherty and Colton Henderson added singles for the Cyclones.
Evan Klein’s powerplay goal opened the scoring for the Siskins in the opening period.
Also on Sunday, St. Marys Lincolns got two goals from Chase MacQueen-Spence in their 6-2 win over Chatham Maroons.
Cohen Bidgood, Jaden Lee, Jacob Montesi and Luca Spagnolo also scored for the Lincolns.
Carter Gillen and Liam Campbell scored for the Maroons.
Elsewhere in the GOJHL over the weekend, Stratford Warriors picked up a 3-1 road win over the Strathroy Rockets on Saturday.
Colin Slattery scored twice to pace the Warriors. Quin Kipfer added an empty netter.
Brendan Gerber had the only goal for the Rockets.
On Friday, the Warriors were tripped up at home, 6-2, by the Elmira Sugar Kings.
Brady Schwindt, Liam Eveleigh, Luke Della Croce, Isaac Lorentz, Brett Warrilow and Thomas Chan scored six straight goals for the Sugar Kings.
Kipfer had opened the scoring for the Warriors and Dax Vader scored the last goal of the game on the power play for the Warriors.
Also on Friday, Henderson scored twice to pace the Cyclones to a 7-1 home win over London Nationals.
Tate Brenner, Jack O’Donnell, Jordan Visneskie, Dylan Szymanowski and O’Flaherty added singles. The Cyclones scored four power play goals.
Jaxon Priddle had the lone Nationals goal.
The Lincolns got two goals each from Owen Voortman and Lee in their 7-1 win over the Siskins.
Ryan Cornfield, Ryan Hodkinson and Spagnolo added singles for the hosts.
Klein had the long goal for the Siskins.
