Perth-Wellington MPP Matthew Rae has announced $200,000 in funding for Stonetown Dairy in St. Marys.
The program provides cost-shared funding to dairy processors to help improve efficiency, capacity, and food safety via acquisition of modern ways of processing milk products.
Funding flows through the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Agri-business and Canada’s Dairy Processors Modernization Initiative.Â
The Dairy Processing Modernization Initiative is still accepting applications from cow, goat, sheep and water buffalo milk processors.
The initiative provides up to $200,000 in funding to each successful applicant.
Funding can be used to help cover the cost of new or refurbished equipment, training and more.
